In my view, smartphones are all about the future and the best handsets are usually the ones with the wildest, slickest mobile technology. Sure, cutting-edge wireless computing rarely comes cheap especially phones running Google's latest and greatest version of Android software, Ice Cream Sandwich. Still it's good to have a dream, and right now I'm fantasizing big time about the best phones money can buy. Samsung Galaxy S III (Unlocked), May 3, 2012 Ok I know, the Samsung Galaxy S III isn't officially out yet but I couldn't make a short list of ultra-hot ICS handsets without including sammy's flagship Android for 2012. Rumors are that the advanced device may arrive on American shores en mass as early as June, certainly by sometime this summer. This phone is by no means new but it was the flagship Android ICS device and offers a mostly pure taste of Google's fresh OS. Plus, until the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx gets an ICS upgrade, it's the sweetest Verizon Android option around. Also, while the Sprint version supports the Google Wallet mobile payment system, the Verizon model is 4G LTE capable now which personally matters more to me. Since HTC and Sprint announced the launch of the EVO 4G LTE has been delayed indefinitely, there's been a lot rumors and speculations on what's going to happen with those who already pre-ordered their devices. The bad news is that customers won't be able to cancel their HTC EVO 4G LTE pre-orders until they refuse the delivery or call Sprint for a return authorization kit. Although the smartphone was slated for a May 18 release at Sprint, all HTC EVO 4G LTE shipments are now stuck at US Customs due to an exclusion order issued by ITC against this smartphone. Moreover, ITC issued the same exclusion order for HTC One X as well, so it's only a matter of time until US stocks are depleted. Even though HTC officially stated it is working closely with US Customs to secure approval of its shipments, there's no telling how much time is gonna take the Taiwanese company to settle these issues. However, there are some good news also. The folks over at AndroidCentral have been tipped on the possibility of HTC EVO 4G LTE being released by Best Buy on May 23. Apparently the retailer is informing its customers who pre- ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE via email, that the smartphone's release date has been changed to May 23. This is only a 5 days delay for the launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE , which is decent enough for such a highly hyped handset. For the time being, we have no information that would indicate Best Buy will be able to fulfill all HTC EVO 4G LTE pre-orders, but there's a slight chance that other retailers might receive their stock around the same time frame. SaskTel Launches HTC One S “Roughriders Edition” - MobilEgypt

While TELUS, Bell and other Canadian carriers are offering the standard HTC One S smartphone, SaskTel decided to set itself apart and make a nice surprise to its customers at the same time by launching a special edition of the handset. The regional carrier has just announced the upcoming availability of the HTC One S Roughriders Edition. This would the third HTC One device that makes its entrance on the Canadian market, after HTC One X and One V have been released a few weeks ago. SaskTel's HTC One S comes with the same hardware configuration as the standard version, but packs several extras that might make it more appealing. For example, HTC One S Roughrider Edition features a free Rider case for extra protection. In addition, it comes with pre-loaded content including the official Roughriders mobile app, a Rider Widget, free Rider ringtones and wallpaper, as well as a specially wrapped box with a Riderized graphic and the full Rider schedule. Obviously, it is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system integrated with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. It also packs a dual core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, but no microSD card slot. The same 8-megapixel camera with ImageSense technology is packed on the backside of the handset, while in the front there's a secondary VGA camera for video calls.
