The no- contract US- based carrier Virgin Mobile has just announced the immediate availability of its new $40 payLo monthly plan that promises to rock your world. Beginning today, customers who prefer monthly plans over long-term contracts can check out Virgin Mobile’s new offering, aimed at those who would rather use their phones for talking and messaging, and less for mobile browsing. Traditional customers can be sure that Virgin Mobile’s new $40 monthly pre-paid plan will meet their requirements and then some. The new payLo plans offers subscribers unlimited talk and text plan, which means unlimited voice minutes and messages (text, picture, email and/or IM). In addition, customers will also get about 50MB of mobile data, which can be used occasionally to browse the Internet. According to Virgin Mobile, the $40 monthly plan is an excellent choice when combined with some of the carrier’s affordable feature phones, such as the Samsung M575, which is available for only $49.99. The M575 comes with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, allowing for faster and more accurate texting. Furthermore, the slider sports a decent 2.4-inch display, a 2-megapixel rear photo snapper with camcorder, as well as Bluetooth, easy access to the Web and Virgin Mobile Navigator. There is no mention on the phone’s storage amount, but Virgin Mobile confirms the Samsung M575 supports microSD cards that allows for memory expansion. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning that payLo by Virgin Mobile does not require activation fees and long-term contracts. Those who choose one of the carrier’s plans can add to a monthly balance with payLo or Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards, or with a credit/debit card or PayPal account online. “Even with the huge increase in data usage, there are still millions of people who mainly talk and text, and they deserve reliable service and phones. Although the Taiwanese handset manufacturer has built a tremendous hype around the HTC EVO 4G LTE, which was supposed to be released via Sprint on May 18, Apple obtained an exclusion order for the smartphone. This means that until the problem is resolved in court, or settled between Apple and HTC, customers won’t receive their pre-ordered EVO 4G LTE units. Today, the folks over at TmoNews got word that at least one other HTC product might be affected by this exclusion order issued by ITC. It appears that customers who order the HTC Amaze 4G via T-Mobile USA’s online store are getting strange messages in return, which somewhat confirms that the carrier does not have the smartphone anymore and no clue on when it might be back in stock. Instead, customers who order the HTC Amaze 4G are recommended to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G as a replacement, though no further explanation is offered. Below you are presented with an excerpt of the letter sent to all customers who order the HTC Amaze 4G via T-Mobile USA’s online store: “Thank you for your recent order. We wanted to let you know that your order for the HTC Amaze has been delayed due to an unforeseen issue with receiving the product from the manufacturer. At this time, we do not have an estimate as to when the product will be available. Because we don’t know when the product will be available, we recommend that you choose an alternate device.” For the time being, this only affects the US, so Android fans living in Canada are still able to purchase any of the above mentioned devices, though there’s no telling for how long. Since HTC and Sprint announced the launch of the EVO 4G LTE has been delayed indefinitely, there's been a lot rumors and speculations on what's going to happen with those who already pre-ordered their devices. The bad news is that customers won't be able to cancel their HTC EVO 4G LTE pre-orders until they refuse the delivery or call Sprint for a return authorization kit. Although the smartphone was slated for a May 18 release at Sprint, all HTC EVO 4G LTE shipments are now stuck at US Customs due to an exclusion order issued by ITC against this smartphone. Moreover, ITC issued the same exclusion order for HTC One X as well, so it's only a matter of time until US stocks are depleted. Even though HTC officially stated it is working closely with US Customs to secure approval of its shipments, there's no telling how much time is gonna take the Taiwanese company to settle these issues. However, there are some good news also. The folks over at AndroidCentral have been tipped on the possibility of HTC EVO 4G LTE being released by Best Buy on May 23. Apparently the retailer is informing its customers who pre- ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE via email, that the smartphone's release date has been changed to May 23. This is only a 5 days delay for the launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE , which is decent enough for such a highly hyped handset. For the time being, we have no information that would indicate Best Buy will be able to fulfill all HTC EVO 4G LTE pre-orders, but there's a slight chance that other retailers might receive their stock around the same time frame. Sprint to Join the Windows Phone 8 Launch Party - MobilEgypt

This fall, Microsoft is expected to launch a new flavor of its Windows Phone operating system, and Sprint is one of the wireless carriers which might add devices powered by it to its offering. This is not the first time when the carrier is said to have such plans, although nothing was specifically announced on the matter. At the CTIA trade show, Sprint’s director of consumer acquisition, David Owens, reportedly stated that he was “bullish on Apollo.” This suggests that Windows Phone 8, which sports the codename of Apollo, is one viable option for the wireless carrier. Sprint already had Windows Phone devices available for its customers, including the HTC Arrive, but did not register success with them. However, Owens appears convinced that the upcoming OS flavor would be capable to make a difference. He said so at CES in January, and reiterated it at CTIA, PCMag reports. In January, he also stated that Sprint was considering the launch of new Windows Phones in August- September, which pointed at devices running under the upcoming OS flavor. For the time being, no official word on devices that would be powered by the next-gen mobile platform from Microsoft has emerged. Sprint and other wireless carriers also have to make formal announcements on any plans to add such handsets to their networks. At the moment, Windows Phone is trailing popular mobile OSes such as Android, iOS and BlackBerry, but started to gain some more ground after Nokia launched smartphones powered by it. Moreover, Microsoft and its partners have been focused on packing new devices with the latest advancements in the mobile industry, such as support for 4G LTE networks (AT&T already launched three such devices). Windows Phone 8 should raise the bar higher still. It was rumored to deliver support for better hardware, including multi-core application processors that power today’s most popular Android devices (Apple’s iPhone also features a multi-core chip inside). This means that Sprint’s upcoming Windows Phone lineup could include dual-core phones capable of connecting to its LTE network as well, thus proving much more appealing than HTC Arrive did.
