Since HTC and
Sprint
announced
the launch of
the EVO 4G
LTE has been
delayed
indefinitely,
there's been
a lot rumors and speculations on
what's going to happen with those
who already pre-ordered their
devices.
The bad news is that customers won't
be able to cancel their HTC EVO 4G
LTE pre-orders until they refuse the
delivery or call Sprint for a return
authorization kit.
Although the smartphone was slated
for a May 18 release at Sprint, all HTC
EVO 4G LTE shipments are now stuck
at US Customs due to an exclusion
order issued by ITC against this
smartphone.
Moreover, ITC issued the same
exclusion order for HTC One X as
well, so it's only a matter of time until
US stocks are depleted.
Even though HTC officially stated it is
working closely with US Customs to
secure approval of its shipments,
there's no telling how much time is
gonna take the Taiwanese company to
settle these issues.
However, there are some good news
also. The folks over at AndroidCentral
have been tipped on the possibility of
HTC EVO 4G LTE being released by
Best Buy on May 23.
Apparently the
retailer is
informing its
customers
who pre-
ordered the
HTC EVO 4G
LTE via email, that the smartphone's
release date has been changed to
May 23.
This is only a 5 days delay for the
launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE , which
is decent enough for such a highly
hyped handset.
For the time being, we have no
information that would indicate Best
Buy will be able to fulfill all HTC EVO
4G LTE pre-orders, but there's a slight
chance that other retailers might
receive their stock around the same
time frame. Check out the email sent
by Best Buy to its customers and stay
tuned for more updates on the
matter.
