LG Optimus
L7 has already
been
confirmed in
Canada via
Rogers about
two months
ago. However, it looks like the
smartphone will make its debut on
Fido airwaves as well.
Part of the L-Style family, the LG
Optimus L7 has just been introduced
in several Europeans country and will
soon arrive in North America.
According to an internal document
leaked online via MobileSyrup , LG
Optimus L7 will be one of the Android
smartphones launched by Canadian
carrier Fido in the following weeks.
So far, there are no details on the
phone's pricing options, but given the
fact that Fido is one of Rogers ' sub-
brands it's likely that prices will be
similar.
LG built this smartphone in order to
refresh its Android lineup with an ICS-
enabled device, but there's no telling
how successful the handset will be.
The phone is pretty thin at only
8.7mm and measures 125.5 x 67mm.
More importantly, LG Optimus L7 will
be delivered with Android 4.0.3 Ice
Cream Sandwich out of the box,
which means owners won't have to
wait for this update.
The smartphone comes with a large
4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive
touchscreen display that features
Corning Gorilla Glass coating. The bad
news is that the screen only supports
480 x 800 pixels resolution.
The Optimus L7 is powered by a
single core Qualcomm MSM7227A
Snapdragon processor clocked at
1GHz, which is complemented by an
old Adreno 200 graphics processing
unit and 512MB of RAM.
Moreover, the smartphone packs 4GB
of internal memory (only 2.4 GB user
available), which can be expanded up
to 32GB via microSD.
Various connectivity options are
available as well, including HSDPA
(21Mbps), HSUPA (5.76Mbps), Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth 3.0 and GPRS/EDGE class
12.
Last but not least, the Optimus L7
drains energy from a 1700 mAh Li-Ion
battery, which has yet to be rated by
the manufacturer.
